MLK Day Visitors

We were so excited to spend Martin Luther King Day/Weekend with our dear friends,
The Schwertfegers.

Jacob, Jessi and their two adorable daughters, Sunda and Kya Grace
were in on furlow from their home in Zambia, Africa.

It's fun to see how God has kept us bound together in heart through the years:

Jacob, Craig and I all went to college together at West Virginia Wesleyan College (2002-2006).
We met and got to know Jacob's amazing wife Jessi (before they were engaged) through working together at Jumonville, a summer camp in PA, during the summer of 2004.
We continued our heart for the nations together when Jacob, Craig and I traveled to Zambia in the summer of 2005.

After we both had been married, we did a summer beach trip together as couples in 2008
which was HUGE for Jessi because she always hated "double dates"-
( I guess we were the exception to the rule- haha.)

And NOW we get to experience life together with our families :)

Levi was delighted to finally get to meet them too!

How sweet it is that our God continues to provide us the opportunity to stay knit together at heart and to encourage one another as we serve Him.

Adjusting...

Monday, January 10th, marked my first day back to work for this quarter.
I thought that going back to work after Thanksgiving when Levi was only 7 weeks old would have been the hardest, but my heart is quickly learning otherwise.

My heart was dreading when Monday would come- we had SO much fun during our three weeks off together... lots of cuddle time, mommy time, face time, smiling together, talking (cooing) back and forth, watching Levi's personality develop more and more.

I'm taking the advice that a sweet mother passed along, and I am praying that the Lord would be gracious in allowing Levi to do a lot of his "firsts" in the evenings or during weekends when we are all together.

On that note, the Lord is so good- on Monday morning, Craig's boss called and said they didn't have work... SO- that meant that I could go back to work knowing that my little man was going to get to spend the whole day with his Papa- what a blessing.
(What is even better was getting a text from Craig saying that he had finished putting in the carpet at our house :)... Here are some snap shots:

AND to make things even better, we had snow days on Tuesday and Wednesday!
So I have been savoring this time with my sweet boy Levi.

(Here is Levi doing his new favorite trick... "Up/Downs" which these days have consisted of a LOT more "UPS" than "Downs"... His little legs are so strong.)

Needless to say- ADJUSTING hasn't been so bad after all :)

...:::* THREE MONTH'S OLD*:::...

My sweet boy, Levi, you are three months old today

I will try to refrain from repeating some cliche sayings
about "time flying" and you "growing so fast"

Instead, we will celebrate all of the great times we have had since God has placed you in our lives.

OVER THE PAST THREE MONTHS WE HAVE LOVED...

- Witnessing the amount of love that flooded our hearts the moment we laid eyes on you
(Only our God could create something so beautiful and a love that is so strong naturally)
- Just sitting and staring at your precious little face for hours
- Watching your little body grow from tiny to chunky :)
- Giggling over your messy diapers that seem to make it ALL over you
- Showing you off to our friends and family
- Staring into your eyes and seeing you become so alert to the people and world around you
- Seeing your BIG smile creep across your face
- Watching you discover your tongue and begin blowing bubbles
- Laughing at how your infatuation with your hands has never ceased since birth
- Helping you stand on your strong legs and practice our "Up/Downs"
- Being entertained by your "man farts" when you toot- especially when you smile right after
- Sharing many, many FIRSTS together with you.

What a joy it is to get to love you
and an honor to get to experience Christ's LOVE through it.

So proud that you are our son!

We Love you,
Momma & Papa

Our Lunch Date with Papa

Levi and I decided to drive out to visit his Papa, while he was working at the Summit on Tuesday, to have lunch with him on our day off. Of course everyone was thrilled to sneak a peak at Levi, and Craig was so proud to show him off.
Levi LOVES his Papa
