Yard Sales- WHEW

Levi has been a trooper through all of the yard sales, packing, and prepping to move-

A Sad So-Long to Emma

Sunday- June 19th marked a sad day in our hearts
Craig's 1st Father's Day was shared with the day Emma went to her new home.
He really adored this pup- "His girl" as we referred to her.

She was always sweet, excited to see you, and true to the end.
The memory of Craig, Levi and I all crouched down in the driveway saying our last good-bye to her will forever be burned in my mind.
We know she will bring a lot of joy to her new family just as she did ours.
We are gonna miss ya girl!

FOUR years ago I walked down the aisle and began this lifelong journey with Craig.
There has never been a moment of regret.

He truly has become my very best friend.
He is the one I want to call as soon as I leave work, who I want to share every detail of life with, who I want to laugh with, who I want to hold me when I'm hurting, who I want to call me out when I'm out of line, and to love me even though I will fail him time and time again.

We have learned over these four years how to live life side by side, to communicate often, to be a team, to encourage one another, to enjoy being a mother and a father together, and the list could go on...



I am honored to call this man my husband, my friend, the father of our son,
and my partner for life.

Tuckered Out Traveler

Los Angeles, California

In May, we flew to Los Angeles, California to be officially appointed with our Company
Craig's parents, Dale & Gail, were able to join us and help out with Levi
while we were at rehearsal for the ceremony.

We enjoyed the little getaway from work and some time with great people that we have
met in the process~
It was encouraging to hear how God has been working in so many lives.

So our long journey of waiting has paid off-
This crew of three will be officially heading to South Asia this Fall

Gideon's Good-Bye

Message written to Craig from Gideon the day he moved out:

"This story will have been different without u, Danielle and levi in my life. Tnks for makin me family and mentoring me. God will use u to change lives in India just like you did mine. When levi grows up remember to tell him I was here and we were buddis. I will miss u guys but yal will always be in my heart."

Gideon graduated from high school on Saturday, June 11th
We were very proud of him!
and this Fall he will begin college at Lees McRae to play basketball

Our delight for Gideon's future does not take away the sadness to see him go.
Gideon is truly one of a kind, and I'm not sure we will ever meet someone like him again.
I have never seen a teenage boy love a newborn and then an infant as MUCH as Gideon loves Levi
There are many things we will miss about Gideon, here are just a few:

- His famous one liner "OH WOW!"... we will probably carry this on in his absence
- Hearing this grown lad singing Celine Dion from his room:)
- Watching him play with our son and chant his name: "Levi, Levi"
- Finding Gideon watching Deadliest Catch for hours (and then confess that he would NEVER be a fisherman like that since it's so dangerous- haha)
- Talking through life, friends, decisions, school, etc....
-Taking pictures of his prom and graduation
-Him always wearing his small Mickey Mouse shirt- who knew - right?
- Trying to teach Gideon the value of being ON TIME- ha (Key word: TRYING)
- Laughing together OFTEN

We had a great time when we took Gideon out to eat on one of his last nights here-
We spent dinner reminiscing of his time with our family over the past year....
It was a sweet way to end our time together.

Gideon's request upon leaving was:
"Tell Levi about me, Tell him we were buddies, Make sure he doesn't forget me"
Our response:
"You better believe we will"

It goes without saying, but we are going to THOROUGHLY MISS this guy!

Craig has made it his delight to pour into our precious son Levi
and I have grown to adore him deeper still by watching.

It's been 8 MONTHS since Smiley here entered our lives

FUN FUN FUN has been the result :)

Our Dear Son Levi Elliot,
This month you have taken some big strides and tackled quite a few milestones

• Got your first TWO teeth
• First time on an airplane
• Been to and through several states: Illinois, California, Texas, Virginia
• Love to manipulate things with your feet- Your Papa loves this :)
• Began crawling
• Started to enjoy eating solids - WOO HOO!
• Discovered your love for watermelon
• You get SO excited to stand up and take steps (wtih a little assistance)
• You have continued to spread your JOY- you never meet a stranger with your precious smile

As always~ we are so proud of you, Levi
It is our joy to greet your little face every morning and tuck you in every night.

Officially a Full Time Mom :)

Yesterday I drove away from my school knowing that it would be my last official day as a "teacher"
Making TODAY my first day on my new FULL Time Job:
Being a Mom to Levi :)

We had a BLAST!
We ate breakfast, took a nap, gave each other LOTS of kisses, went for a run, then for a walk while we chatted with Leah Lou,
played, did some laundry, prepped a little for our next yard sale, played some more.
I really could get used to this-... looks like I WILL!

On the MOVE...

This past Sunday, June 4th
Levi finally figured out how to shift from "rocking on all fours" stance to actually crawling.
His crawling style is still unique :)

Look at him go:

Did you spot a TOOTH?

Thaaaaaaaaaat's RIGHT- You sure did.
Levi's first tooth poked through on May 13th
(Which was Friday the 13th :) haha)

His second tooth popped through May 26th- Just 2 weeks later!

..::* FIRST FLIGHT *::..

Friday May 20th was Levi's first time stepping on a plane as we flew to Los Angeles, California

I was praying that he would travel well, that his ears would pop when they needed to, and that we would all enjoy the flight (as there will be many more in the future).

Needless to say: GOD IS FAITHFUL!

Levi traveled like a CHAMP

And of course made several friends along the way with his endearing smile he always gives.

We had two flights out, and two flights back... he was only a little fussy on the flights back.

(But who could blame the little guy who was traveling in a car, in a plane, on a bus, and adjusting to a 3 hour time difference!)

He really was a trooper :)

We LOVE Nana !!!!

Craig & I had to attend a training in Richmond

and my mom, Nana, was gracious enough to come down and watch Levi for us while we were in our meetings.


I seriously don't know what I would have done without her- She's wonderful.
We Love Her... and Levi LOVES His Nana :)
