Levi loves laying on his belly and pushing his cars around- on a bed, on the carpet, outside... WHEREVER!
It is so stinking cute :)

... Climbing the "Hill" to the "Castle" ....

(Catch Up Time)

During our Christmas travels ,we met up with some friends here in South Asia-
and we decided to go hiking one day.


Their kiddos called it "Climbing the 'Hill'"- and at the top there was an old fort which they lovingly referred to as the "castle"- so fun!

It was a beautiful day with perfect weather- not too hot and not too cold.


Along the way, they were doing some work on the pathway so we ran into some of these ladies.
The crazy part is that the men will work the machinery, etc... but these women (in their sarees- please notice) will fill these pans up with dirt and hall it (on their head & with kids in tow) down the hill to wherever "fill" was needed.
Pretty amazing!

We also saw these two little guys just hanging out-
probably from the neighborhood village at the bottom of the hill.
Their facial expressions are priceless :)


I love spending time outside with these two!
Watching them walk hand in hand melts my heart.


WE MADE IT!
Here is the "castle"

It was really neat-
it's a pretty large abandoned building overlooking so much of the city,
a wide open cleared area in front (where the kids had a blast playing),
and lots of little paths behind the building that you could go exploring on.

Levi was in the carrier for the hike up, so he was in his glory running "free" on top of the "Hill"




LEVI: "I found something for you!"
Me: "What is it this time?- A raisin? a bug? a rabbit dropping?!?!? "
- No worries, this one is just a rock.


(However... As we went exploring around the castle, I watched Levi bend over to pick something up... as I got a little closer to analyze the situation ... Oh yes, sure enough it was a little round rabbit poo! YUCK!!!
Thank the Lord for some hand sanitizer :))

Sleeping on the Job...

Over the past couple weeks it may seem as though I have been neglecting my "blogging duties"-
But rest assured, I was not sleeping on the job....
:)

However, I cannot say the same for this little guy.
Craig was right in the middle of feeding him lunch one day and looked over to find him like THIS:

Tuckered out!

Over the past couple weeks I have had the wonderful opportunity to learn and practice: .PATIENCE.
When your computer battery is dead and your external hard drive, where you store all of your pictures, stops working and you cannot access your pictures from any computer... you can begin to feel frustrated, impatient, trapped and overwhelmed because you can't help but feel pretty helpless- or at least I did.
However, God has taught me a lot and has helped me finally figure out a way to get around it- at least for now until I can hopefully get the external hard drive fixed.
HOORAY!
So I am looking forward to sending LOTS of updates your way...

Still here...

So I guess I was on a BLOG "vacation" for the past week.
Sorry to all of you who faithfully check daily for new updates!

In the process of moving to a new house (still in our language city), no more Wi-Fi- thus shared internet, a dead computer battery, some trouble pulling up pictures from I-photo, etc...
My blogging has been on hold for a bit.
Hopefully this weekend we will be able to figure some of this out and you will have lots of pictures and stories on the way :)

Meet Levi's "ChaCha" and "DiiDii" :)

These two precious folks were the first ones to offer to watch Levi
so Craig and I could schedule our language classes together here in South Asia.
L.O.V.E. T.H.E.M.



Our hearts are a little sad today though-
Yesterday was their final day with us in our language city, and they are moving onto their final destination.

We are so excited for them, but Levi will surely miss his time of laughing with them, Diidii reading books to him, listening to Chacha play his guitar, stealing their toast EVERY day :) and the list could go on.

Good news- we will see them soon, so it wasn't good-bye...
