...:::* Riley Joanna ~ 7 MONTHS OLD *:::...

. September 27, 2013 .

7 remarkable months with one remarkable little girl.

Memories & Milestones:
MONTH 7 ( Aug 27 - Sept 27)
- sitting up without your hands all by your self!
- still die laughing when your brother " sit spins" .
- sit and suck on your toe- quite talented
- not such a sound sleeper
- busy busy busy- you can really move around and don't stay put for very long.
- 8/29 officially sitting up all by yourself AND crawling on all fours. Whew! what a day.
- Tom boy. You love to play with balls and cars. If the choice is between your toys or a car... hands down you go for the car. :)
- lots of bonks and bumps on your little head as you learn to move around. You have become quite the trooper.
- Levi loves blowing raspberries on your belly and you just smile & giggle the entire time.
- 9/12 pulled yourself all the way up on Aunt Brandy's bench. Love being on your feet- you will be cruising any day now.
- moved into your brothers room. You are now official roommates :)
- getting better at eating your cereal
- waking up still at night more frequently. :(
- outgrown your 3 month clothes (probably about time. haha)
- hair is coming in more and more.
- play with your hair when you fall asleep just like your brother.
- 9/17 first tooth popped through. Bottom right tooth.
- you can't seem to smile without sticking out your tongue :) so sweet

Our little girl, Riley Jo ~

Every day you embark on new adventures and attempt new things.
And every day I ask the Father to watch over you and protect you as you learn and grow.
We pray that in the days ahead you will continue to be ever BRAVE and FEARLESS as you attempt new things.
Believing that you absolutely CAN do these things you set out to do.
I will continue to pray that same prayer, for the Lord to be with you every step along the way in your life's journey :)
But I will also expect to see Him do amazing things through you as you go forward boldly and fervently, fearing Him alone... because ONLY HE is worthy of our fear.

You make us so proud every day, beautiful girl.

GRAMMY- Part 4

We decided to pick out a new bike for Levi while Grammy was here.
After checking out several bikes with training wheels, he kept dragging this tricycle out instead-
so you can see who won out:

He also made the executive decision that he and Grammy ought to wear these fun hats we bought for him & Tate in Nepal :)
Once again, how could we say no???
(hehe- thanks for being a good sport about it Grammy!)

We had quite the giggle fest as they drove around their "race track":
The best part was his "pedal" technique...
AKA Straddle the bar, stand on his tippy toes, and propel himself using the "Fred Flinstone" approach:

We all slept QUITE well that night :)

One morning, we embarked on one of my favorite times with Grammy...
We made DONUTS!!!!

Mixed up the dough:
Rolled out the dough, found or "circle" cutters-
AKA the top of the salt shaker and a glass:

What was Levi's favorite part, you might ask:

Touching the dough?... Nope
Helping cut out the donuts?.... Nah

This boy could not WAIT to snatch up that dough and give it a try :)
BUSTED!!!!!

Papa joined in the fun times as well:

Riley and "Bubble Auntie" just took it all in from a distance:

Drop those puppies down into some hot oil:

Oh wait... what have we here....
Apparently, the texture of stickiness was more powerful than its taste:
This face CRACKS me up!

But moments later, the fingers were cleaned off, and he was well on his way consuming his FIRST warm, home-made, and DELICIOUS donut in it's final form:

And if it happens to be too hot for your fingers, Levi will demonstrate how you can still enjoy its YUMMY-NESS:

We made some glazed donuts:

We also made some powdered donuts:

Yes... I am still dreaming of how scrumptious these were!
Thanks Grammy for teaching us how to make them.
Come back soon and let's make some MORE!!!!

GRAMMY- Part 3

One day while Grammy was here, we got to take her and some of our summer visitors to visit a nearby children's home.
This was also Levi, Riley, and I's first visit as well.

Levi had an absolute B.L.A.S.T!
While the kids danced, sang, and played some games-
Levi just ran around and around, giggled and giggled, then he'd pull some crazy move that landed him in this position:

We went shopping (OF COURSE!), and while we were shopping away- Levi found him a buddy to hang out with... who also happened to let him play on the shelves!
Ya gotta love this place, it always provides "shopping sitters" to play with your kids while you look around. haha.

Ok ok ok- so we may have had SEVERAL movie nights :)

Finger painting caused some mixed emotions as you can see:

No worries- he recovered and got right back to enjoying 'Pain-Ting" (as he enunciates it)

High Fives all around!
*Fear not- that is only paint in his hair, NOT blood :)

Riley enjoyed her own play time while Grammy and Levi painted together:

We also used some super fun stickers Grammy brought and a plastic jar to make a piggy bank:

Like I said... we were quite "busy" having fun while Grammy was with us!

To be continued....
