:: First Days in India ::

Our first days in India have been filled with fun rides, new friends and sweet discoveries:

• Levi loves riding in the rickshaws (more photos coming of this)- he just sits and stares while taking it all in- people, bikes, cars, horns- you name it.

• I discovered a whole wall of Crocs in one store (including some styles I don't think I've seen in the US)

• We found a great kids store where we bought Levi a few gifts with his birthday money- see below
  
• (They also sell Gerber baby food, Baby Oatmeal, Pampers, A&D ointment, lots of baby essentials!)
  

• Other "sweet" discoveries: Oreos, Chips Ahoy, Cadbury Chocolate, Mountain Dew, Peanut butter, Velveeta shells & cheese, Salsa, Planters Peanuts, and more.
  
• (Chances are I will only be able to find most of these things in Delhi, but hey- at least I know where to find them :)
• All of the people here love Levi, especially the people we have met at the hotel. They will smile at him or ask to come scoop him up and he will go right to them most of the time. He really is doing so well. Thanks for everyone's prayers.

Take off & Arrival

We boarded our first plane in Pittsburgh last Wednesday , and 25 hours and three flights later landed in India- our new home.

and playing in his little area (Right) we made for him on the plane (Nana- he loves his card... he is guaranteed to start dancing to the music as soon as he opens it- We love it... Thanks!)

The tray table worked out perfect for racing his cars:)
and we had to capture some rocking bed head- looks like he stuck his head out of the plane during take off! haha.

Little man loved these head phones- but of course didn't leave them on long enough to watch the movies that came with the flight... Sweet little guy wore himself out playing so hard that he crashed. He really did awesome on the flights- everyone was impressed (including us).

AHHH! And finally we made it to our hotel-
We were ready to crash (it was 4:00am India time)... AND Levi was ready to play.
We laid down to sleep and Levi sat right up and started singing, clapping, and doing belly flops on our faces.
We embraced the moment and giggled for the next hour instead of sleeping.

Thank you to all of you who have been praying for this day and for us.
Things went smoothly, all of our bags made it, and we are almost over our jet lag-
Levi actually seems to be pretty well adjusted to the time difference now- He has slept well the past two nights.

On Our Way...

Today we are on our way to our new home-
We will update you once we get settled a little and let you know about all the sights, sounds, and life in India :)

We LOVE the Hoppers

We decided the most proper place to eat our "last supper" with the Hoppers would be none other than... MOE'S!
In honor of the many Moe's meals we shared in good ol' Wake Forest.



Thanks so much Andrew, Anna, HattieJo, and A.P. for coming to visit us one last time
and for the "sweet" bag of goodies for us to take with us :)

Fangs no more

HOORAY-
Levi's front teeth came in and he no longer has fangs :)

Grand total: Four teeth on top and two on the bottom.

:: Happy BIRTHDAY Papa ::

.27 years.

The last year was, by far, one of the most memorable.
You became a father to our son who adores you.
We grew one year deeper in our marriage, and every day is still so much fun being your wife.
You have have made a lasting impression on a young man, Gideon, and I have loved every minute of watching this.
We have packed up a house, moved a couple times, said some sad good-byes, and made some new friends along the way.
And I've watched you grow as a leader both inside and outside our home.
I look forward to what this next year has in store, as God leads our family in India.

Today we celebrate you, Love.
For everything you have been...
