Riley's FIRST Haircut

 October 10, 2015
Riley finally got her first haircut at
.2 1/2 years old.

And who better to cut those curly locks for the first time than Mama, right?
:)

BEFORE:

It's hard to tell what kind of emotions she was really feeling, because her face says a million different things in these pictures.
Hahaha!
She didn't cry at all.
Just simply struggled to sit still, but hey-
 what 2 1/2 year old doesn't?

Aaaaaand AFTER:

I just LOVE my little girl to pieces!
She looks especially cute with her new haircut though

...:::*Malachi Reed: 1 MONTH OLD*:::...

MALACHI REED EGGLETON
8.6.2015

Our littlest bud, Malachi Reed, entered the world on August 6, 2015
[His exact due date ;)]
at 2:40 AM (IST)
Weighing 5 lbs. 10 oz.
Measuring 20 3/4 in. long

He was the cutest and tiniest thing I'd ever laid eyes on
(especially at that time of the night!!! haha)
Felt like I finally earned my "mom" card, because tears fell as I looked at him for the first time and all I could say through my smile & tears is "Oh just look at him, he's ours!"

I certainly couldn't have done it without this guy by my side:

Later that morning, the moment Levi had been anxiously waiting for finally arrived...
He FINALLY got to meet his baby brother.
Riley enjoyed him to, but maybe to a lesser degree-
her first response was, "Oh mom, there's your baby.... she's so cute" (oops!)
Could have been the pink clothes they dressed him in right after he was born that threw her off.
hahahaha.

We love our family of five!!!
(Don't let Levi's face fool you- :) )

And it couldn't have happened so smoothly without the help of this awesome lady:
We all LOVE LOVE LOVE Grammy!!!!

Yep, he was tiny :)                                                                     Already mastering the "paci" grab

Adored by your big brother & big sister

One of your favorite sleeping positions:

Umbellical cord finally fell, but I think it is safe to say-
You were NOT a fan of your first bath :)

Whew, that was rough!

 He's crazy about you:

Of course, already a WVU fan:
Let's gooooo Mountaineers!

  • Your little cheeks are finally starting to fill out

To Our precious son- Malachi Reed,

Papa said it best when he said you were "God's gift of grace" to us...
because you bring us so much JOY, and we've done nothing to deserve it.
We've loved seeing the way the Lord graciously led and was with us in everything from pregnancy with you up through your delivery and even after.
We are praying that throughout your life, you will clearly sense His faithful hand
doing the same thing for you in every step of the way.
May you continue to bring JOY to those around you,
and may your truest JOY come from being in the presence of the King, our heavenly Father.

We love you little bud.

All our Love,
Mama & Papa

Levi's "Pet"

One day during the lovely hot season Levi & I discovered that the geckos that live in our house must have had a baby because we found a teeny "lizard" in the upstairs bathroom.

So what did we do upon discovering it?
Scream?
nope.
Run away?
not hardly.
We retrieved an old parmesan cheese container and caught that puppy!

And to our (mainly mine & Craig's) amazement, that little guy LIVED for four days with just water and some pieces of apple.

We then decided it was time to tell Levi we needed to "set him free"
However, I was not prepared for the alligator tears that welled up in his eyes as he said,
" But Mama, I want to keep him.... he's my pet"
Ugh- Rip My Heart OUT!

Our resolution: we would let him set him free on our outside porch to live with the other gecko that lives out there, so he could still be his "pet".

He handled it like a champ!

So proud of him.

Gotta love his sweet
"me and my pet" picture.

* Forgive the underwear shots- like I said, it was HOT season and sometimes the kids gotta do what only a kid can get away with :)
No hint of jealousy

Hey, when it's hot, ya gotta do what ya gotta do-
and these two look pretty cute doing it :)

Levi truly did beg to wash the dishes, so I let em at it!
Sounds good to me... Less sweat rolling off my back, I"ll take it :)
