GRAMMY- Part 3

One day while Grammy was here, we got to take her and some of our summer visitors to visit a nearby children's home.

This was also Levi, Riley, and I's first visit as well.

Levi had an absolute B.L.A.S.T!

While the kids danced, sang, and played some games- 

Levi just ran around and around, giggled and giggled, then he'd pull some crazy move that landed him in this position:

We went shopping (OF COURSE!), and while we were shopping away- Levi found him a buddy to hang out with... who also happened to let him play on the shelves!

Ya gotta love this place, it always provides "shopping sitters" to play with your kids while you look around. haha.

Ok ok ok- so we may have had SEVERAL movie nights :)

Finger painting caused some mixed emotions as you can see:

No worries- he recovered and got right back to enjoying 'Pain-Ting" (as he enunciates it)

 

High Fives all around!

*Fear not- that is only paint in his hair, NOT blood :)

Riley enjoyed her own play time while Grammy and Levi painted together:

We also used some super fun stickers Grammy brought and a plastic jar to make a piggy bank:

Like I said... we were quite "busy" having fun while Grammy was with us!

GRAMMY- Part 2

Levi & Riley didn't waste any time getting Grammy to come play with them:

I think she was glad to oblige:

Craig & his mom could talk "garden" for days- so he was counting down the days till she arrived so they could spend some time painting, potting, planting, and working in the garden together.

Levi felt like his help was also necessary ;)

We tried to capture some "sibling" photos for Grammy.

Well.... you can see how well that turned out:

Looks like they are shaping up to be the best of pals, right?

GRAMMY- Part 1

July and August were a bit sweeter this year... 

because we got to have GRAMMY stay with us!!!!

That's right- 5 irreplaceable and FUN filled weeks.

At the end, we looked at each other and said "Whoa, what happened to all the time?"

However, looking back through pictures, I realized we crammed LOTS of precious memories in that little chunk of time.

So let's reminisce, shall we?

Levi got to cuddle with Grammy and have her read him books:

Some also made it memorable by getting their first black eye :)

While Craig traveled, we had movie night:

Some of us didn't make it very long ;)

We thoroughly enjoyed the piles of goodies she toted over in her suitcase for us:

(Don't be misled by Levi's crazy face here- he really LOVED it all. haha)

Let's not forget, this was Riley's very FIRST time to meet her Grammy.

So they squeezed in lots of cuddle and play time.

Levi got to "help" Grammy make some chocolate chip cookies:

We LOVE us some Grammy time!

These two looked adorable in their new PJ's and hair bows from Grammy:

Levi had someone else to "beg" to help him turn on a show to watch ;)

(Look at those eyes- he totally knows how to work it, doesn't he?)

Riley realized VERY quickly how fun Grammy was, and enjoyed every second of being in her arms:

Riley Jo's First Bite of Cereal :)

We decided not to wait until 6 months to start "solids" this time around,

 

so Riley has been enjoying some yummy "rice" cereal since 4 1/2 months old.

 She didn't necessarily LOVE it, but now that we are introducing new flavors into the mix- it has become her favorite.

:)

This little missy decided half way through that she was big enough to even feed herself, and just took that spoon right out of my hand.

So proud of you, Little Girl!

A little tribute to Papa for his birthday

There are many reasons why we love Papa...

But one thing is for sure- This little girl ADORES him when he plays the guitar for her!

Whenever she gets unsoothable, Papa pulls out the guitar and works his magic...

Her little heart just calms so quickly and remains still as she watches her Papa and listens intently.
