. Bubble Auntie Moments .

 Our house helper (Lovingly referred to as "Bubble Auntie") has really become part of our family.

She has adored Riley since the moment we brought her home & is so precious with her and Levi.

 

One day, Beth and I decided to give her the day "off" of work and instead we all sat down and watched the Magdalena film with her.

It's been awesome to see how watching the way Jesus lived & loved can stir ALL of our hearts!

 This is how these two sat for most of the movie... 

Hand in Hand:

Our house helper & her daughter bought myself, Levi & Riley all some new outfits for Riley's birth (So thoughtful!)

One day she even brought her son along-

Levi thought it was GREAT having a friend to play with, ride around the with, and speak some Hindi with :)

I love hearing his little voice saying things in Hindi!

 As she was working one day, Levi felt the need to also be her side kick:)

 

He adores her daughter- he always gets SUPER excited when he sees her and says "DIIDII" 

(which means older sister in Hindi, but is used to refer to younger ladies as well)

Like I said, she has become QUITE dear to us!

There is no one like our Bubble Auntie :)

...:::*Riley Joanna ~ 3 MONTHS OLD*:::...

. May 27th, 2013 .

It has been 3 wonderful months that the Lord has allowed our lives to be beyond blessed by the sweet presence of our little Riley Jo:

Memories & Milestones:

- First time in your adorable polka dot swim suit

- You are still great eater

- Super Ticklish. No back rubs for this little girl- she will squirm away. Haha. 

- Great little conversationalist. So engaged/ engaging with those eyes and that smile. 

- Sleeping at least 7 -9 hours at night! 

- Already Levi's little play mate- he totally pushes your bassinet over to his room or onto his car mat so you can be right by his side playing. :)

- You are quite the drool-er and bubble maker :)

- reaching for things with hands and feet
- your adorable eye lashes are coming in and go great with those beautiful blue eyes!

- hold your head up so good on tummy time. 

- hair is starting to come back.YAY!
- Such a happy and calm spirit

Our baby girl,

No words can express what happens to our hearts when we see your eyes lock with ours and that beautiful smile creep onto your face.  You are such a gift to all of our lives.  
We pray that as you grow, the Lord would allow you to be a giver of GRACE. 
I'm sure your brother (as well as us) will give you LOTS of opportunities to put this into practice in the days ahead :)
However, we are praying that your desire to give GRACE would come from the understanding of how greatly God poured out His GRACE for you (and for us).

REWIND: *Welcome Lucia Rose*

One great bonus about being in D-city to have Riley, was we were able to have our friends stay with us on their way home from adopting their little girl, Lucia Rose, from China.

Which means.... we were some of the very first folks to meet this precious girl!!!

 On April 27th, 2013

Our baby girl, Riley Joanna, was officially 2 months old!

Memories & Milestones

• A precious smile has already begun to form on your face, and we LOVE seeing it (4/11)
• You have started coo-ing (4/20) and love some face to face interaction, and looking into our eyes you little social bug!
• 4/2 met Nana & Pappy for the FIRST time when they came to spend a couple weeks in South Asia with us!
• Went to the theater to watch "The Croodes", you AND your big brother's first movie on the big screen. (It was supposed to be in 3-D but the glasses didn't work. Lol.   What can ya do?)
• We both learned that you are not a happy girl when Mama drinks caffeine or eats red beans :(
• Still an ALL-Star sleeper... Fall asleep at 10 or 11 and sleep until 3 or 4am.  Go girl!
• Still SO happy on that belly of yours
• Getting lots of love and attention from our American and Indian friends
• 4/25 Met Grandpa Dale for the first time on his trip to South Asia
• starting to outgrow your newborn clothes

Dear Riley Jo, 

our precious little girl~

Your smile melts our hearts these days.  

Every time we lay eyes on you we are reminded of what a BEAUTIFUL gift from the Lord you are to our lives. We delight in how incredibly perfect He knit you together in my womb, and we're incredibly grateful for how He continues to grow and sustain your life.

Our prayer is that he will not only grow & sustain your physical ADORABLE little body, but that His spirit would cause a desire for Him to well up within your soul.  

One day, we are praying that you would KNOW Him and His tender love & mercy.
