9 Months Old

Another fun filled month with Levi & milestones:

- Really crawling on all fours (instead of the army crawl)
- Pulls himself up on couches, tables, people... just about anything
- Bound and determined to stand up and walk (still with assistance, but it won't be long)
- Starting to recognize and mean "Momma and Papa" when you say it
- Shake your head "no"... it's so fun now b/c you don't realize what you are doing... it won't be so fun later- I know :)
- Played at the ocean for the FIRST TIME... you were unsure when the waves hit your legs, but you LOVED to just sit and watch them (and eat the sand :)
- Began the adjustment of moving and starting our new journey ahead.
You are doing so good at being brave & trusting Momma & Papa

Our Dear Son... Levi Elliot~
Thank you for filling our lives (and so many others) with a tremendous amount of JOY.
I have learned so much about trusting my Heavenly Father by watching you over this past month
It really is an honor to love you... you make it so easy!

"Hippity" Hoppers

Before we moved from Wake Forest our dear sweet friends, the Hoppers (Andrew, Anna/"Hippity", HattieJo, and A.P.)... better referred to as our "neighbors", invited us out to their house for one last meal together.

We started out in the same small group together when we first moved to Wake Forest.
A few years later we ended up living side by side experiencing the joys of life together:
Anna & I both taught at Franklin Academy, Craig & Andrew both worked at the Summit,
riding to small group together, going to church together, taking care of dogs, walking/running through the streets of Wake Forest, hang out times/movie nights, pregnancies, babies... just to name a few.
Needless to say- we wore out the path between our house and theirs.

When they moved to Wendell, our friendship remained tried & true... so I told Anna that if we survived their move to Wendell then this next move for us would be NO PROBLEM :)

We have LOVED watching HattieJo grow, she was Levi's first friend
and it was so sweet meeting their newest addition, little A.P.

Hoppers- You will be missed but may our friendship go on as it always has.
Love you guys!

Farewell North Carolina

As of Thursday- June 30th
We are officially no longer North Carolina residents.

We loaded the truck up on Wednesday and drove one last time down good ol' main street as we drove out of town...

Leaving an empty house and sweet friends behind.
It was a bit sad, but we are keeping our gaze ahead as we follow the path God has placed us on.
We will take the memories we have shared during our past 4 years along with us as we travel onward.

Summit Commissioning

Our family was commissioned last Sunday at the Summit Church

Gideon came by to see us there (we always love those surprises)
Our dear friend, Beth, who will be joining our team a few months ahead of us was commissioned as well.
and Pa-Curt was our amazing photographer and has been a faithful encourager and supporter of our family as we prepared to move overseas.

So excited to be able to serve alongside such amazing people here in Raleigh, NC
as well as our new home in South Asia!
