On July 12, 2012

we celebrated 21 months since Levi joined our family...

Life hasn't been the same since :)


Memories & Milestones:

~19 months ~

•  started sucking on your bottom lip
• love spinning around in circles
• shake your head back & forth in front of the fan b/c you think its hilarious
• Realized you're a little snorter when you laugh
• still love playing with your toy "auto" that is hanging on by a thread
• Moved to your new home city in India, and we hung at w/ Beth for a month :)
• started saying : "boo-ger"
• began full sentence babbling- cracks me up every time.
  

  ~ 20 months ~

• Still play with your hair when you are sleepy
• Enjoyed driving your cars on Beth's couches, racing your cars around her ttrunk, and finding lots of "hiding spots" :)
• started pushing your bedtime back and sleping in later- woo hoo!
• Love for Mama to do "this little piggy"
• Music & Books still make you happy
• mastered crawling up the stairs & coming back down on your bottom.
• Created your own little "dinner dance" you do in your high chair when you love what you are eating or about to eat!
• Said "Bye" for the first time 
• Love it when we pray before eating... you just look around while we have our eyes closed and then have the biggest CHEESE on your face when we all open them. haha.
• Started giving the BEST hugs- Mama & Papa can't get enough of them.

~ 21 months ~

• Discovered we have our very own "choo choo" by our house :)
• Like to go out on the porch and say "mooooo" and check to see if we have any water buffalo in our "back yard"- so cute.
• Found out how yummy Honey Nut Cheerios are & you are doing so good feeding yourself w/ a spoon.
•   Love having your juice every morning... once that cup is in your hand, there is guaranteed 20 minutes of silence until it is sucked dry.
• Favorite Book- Trucks because you love flipping each page and make new sounds...
•  Sounds you can make: "Vroom Vroom, Beep Beep, Nee Naa Nee Naa, Wheel" and the best part is when we turn to the page with the Tractor... No sound affects, Just "TRAC_TOR" :)
• Also love making animal sounds like: "woof, moooo, neigh neigh, baa, caw caw"
• Favorite toys: Matchbox cars and lining them up along the window sill, and balls
• You always sneak over and steal Mama & Papa's flip flops and try to walk around in them.
• You have a blast climbing in and out of things: toy cars, boxes, play houses, laundry baskets, buckets, yep... you get pretty creative sometimes too!
• A climber for sure- bookshelves, kitchen cabinets, chairs... if it looks possible, you will try it!
• Walking is a thing of the past- you just love to RUN everywhere you go (Mama LOVES this!)
• Constantly cracking himself up and laughing out loud... Quite comical.
• Even though you don't say a whole lot of words, your understanding has taken off!

Our Precious son, Levi Elliot...

Thank you for coming into our world and lives.  You have only made things SO MUCH BETTER!  The way you  love us is like nothing else we have ever experienced.  Your eyes light up and you get the brightest and best smile on your face when you lock eyes with either one of us.  Priceless.  You even trust us enough to show us your grumpy, fussy, tantrum throwing side.  For which we are also grateful (in a different way)... you teach us much about patience, unconditional love, giving grace, and the way our Father in Heaven is gracious with us when we have those same kind of moments.  ;)

Over the next several months, we are praying that you would develop a sense of being alert and self-controlled.  Not in a non-toddler way, but in a way that we know the Lord is shaping your heart to be like His.  So you will be a LIGHT in a dark place, as you grow and situations arise, we are praying for you to display wisdom beyond your years. 
As you meet new friends- laugh with them, listen to them, play with them, teach them, learn from them, and LOVE them in the way that only you can.
